A One Of A Kind Icy Salt And Pepper Diamond Engagement Ring Set

This ring set was so fun to make and it turned out absolutely gorgeous. The future bride was looking for an alternative engagement ring, but wanted something that still felt timeless to her. She loved my Marquise Sapphire and Diamond Peak Ring, but wanted the center stone to be bigger and have a lot more visual impact. We sourced the most gorgeous icy salt and pepper diamond with champagne colored inclusions from our friends at Misfit Diamonds and they did not disappoint! The pear shaped, rose cut diamond is beautifully cut and pictures do not do this unique one of a kind stone justice. 

When designing the ring, we knew we wanted something that would be very durable for everyday, she is a chef and works a lot with her hands. A low profile engagement ring is perfect for this kind of lifestyle as you don't have to worry about knocking it on things as much. We also chose to set the stone in the most secure style of setting there is, a bezel. To add some visual interest the bezel and give it a more antique feel we added milgrain to the edges which is that little beaded texture you see surround the pear shaped diamond. 

To really make the stone pop even more we surrounded it with perfectly round brilliant cut diamonds that add serious sparkle in this yellow gold engagement ring! We pave' set the diamonds with a vintage milgrain to match how we set the pear shaped diamond. We wanted the ring to feel modern and fresh but still have a timeless almost antique feel which I think milgrain is a great way to accomplish that. Plus it just looks unique and gives stones that extra something!

While designing her engagement ring we also decided to just do the wedding band at the same time, since she wanted them to fit perfectly together it just made sense. She chose our French Cut Pave' Diamond Chevron Band which compliments her engagement ring beautifully, its like they were made for each other!

One of the things I love about this wedding set is how versatile it is, there's not just one way to wear the rings. You can wear the engagement ring alone, you can stack the wedding ring on top, or you can flip the engagement ring and wear the wedding band closest to you! This salt and pepper diamond wedding set is unique, stunning and perfectly timeless.
